Pastor J. Darren Godfrey
Lead Pastor
Pastor J. Darren Godfrey joined RHPC as Lead Pastor in July 2026. A graduate of Eastern Pentecostal Bible College (1983), he brings decades of ministry experience in pastoring, church planting, and evangelism. His heart is to preach the Word, reach people for Christ, disciple believers, and raise up leaders who are equipped to serve God.

As Lead Pastor, Pastor Darren is passionate about shepherding the church, seeking God’s direction, and helping believers grow in their faith and calling. While still discovering the Lord’s vision for RHPC’s next season, he is encouraged by the love of the church family and their sincere hunger for God. He describes RHPC as a truly “Pentecostal” church and looks forward to all that God has in store.

Outside of ministry, Pastor Darren enjoys spending time with his wife, Linda, and their grandchildren. He also enjoys music, painting, and walking. A fun fact about Pastor Darren is that he studied music in university and played bass guitar in the Queen’s University Jazz Ensemble for two years.

Jonathan Kandiah
Assistant Pastor
Born into a Pastor’s household, Christ was introduced to Jon at a very early age. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour at the age of 6, was baptized in water at 12, and filled with the Holy Ghost at 17. As was prophesied over him time and time again, Jon developed a fierce passion for ministry and began serving at his church when he was just a kid. It was here that he developed a deep love for God, people and worship!

He went on to study Science at the University of Guelph with aspirations to go into medicine, but God’s plans prevailed for his life. He could not push off his calling and soon after applied to Master’s Pentecostal College and Seminary in Peterborough. Jon has served in various ministry contexts and capacities in the past including being a Youth Pastor and an Assistant Pastor.

Jon is passionate about young people- especially youth and young adults! His mission is to see them get sold out for Jesus and rise up to change the world through the power of the Holy Spirit! Having seen so many youth and young adults completely transformed by Jesus, Jon senses a huge revival taking place, and is eager to see what God is about to release!

Ann Forsythe
Interim Kids Ministry Director
Ann Forsythe serves as the Interim Kids Ministry Director at RHPC. She has been part of the church for four years and has joyfully assisted in the Kids Ministry Department for three. Ann studied Economics and Business at St. Stanislaus College in Guyana and previously worked as a Customer Service Supervisor for British West Indies Airlines. Ann has a love for Kids Ministry and has served in various ministry contexts working with children. She worked part-time with the York Region District School Board and volunteers regularly at her children’s school.

Ann oversees all operations of the Kids Ministry and works alongside the amazing Kids volunteers each week and ensures the Kids of RHPC learn about Jesus and grow in relationship with Him. She considers serving in the house of the Lord a privilege and an act of worship. Her heart is to build a Christ-centered ministry where children of every age, culture, and background can experience the love of Jesus through the Holy Spirit and be taught the uncompromised Word of God. Outside of ministry, Ann is a phenomenal baker who enjoys listening to music, watching Christmas movies and spending quality time with her beautiful family.

Elaine Reid
Pastoral Administrator
Elaine Reid serves as the Pastoral Administrator at RHPC. She first began attending in the early 1980s and has been part of the church for 43 years.Elaine retired from her corporate job in 2022 and felt a leading to serve RHPC as a Pastoral Administrator in 2023. Elaine worked at Rexall Drugstore as a Store Manager and Auditor and has a background in Business Administration. Over the years, she has also served in various roles at RHPC including being a Board Member and Kids Ministry leader.

In her role, Elaine oversees a wide range of responsibilities—including secretarial duties, scheduling and facility coordination, organizing hospitality teams, purchasing food and supplies, managing church activities, and supervising the cleaning crew. Her favourite part of serving is simply serving God’s people. She describes RHPC as “the body of Christ in action,” and her heart is to continue serving with excellence. Outside of church, Elaine enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

Mirna Lewis-Jeremiah
Financial Administrator
Mirna Lewis-Jeremiah serves as the Financial Administrator at RHPC. She has been part of the church for 25 years and has faithfully served on staff for 16. With over two decades of experience in Business Administration, Mirna previously worked as an Administrative Assistant and Accounts Receivable specialist and brings her skills of financial excellence and stewardship to RHPC.

Mirna oversees financial recordkeeping and event planning at RHPC,She loves decorating the church and aims to make sure the church is always looking warm and welcoming to those who call it home. Her heart is to serve God’s house with passion, care, and attention to detail. Mirna is a proud Grenadian and a fun fact about her is that her favourite show is “Judge Judy”.

Michael Canagasabey
Operations Manager
Michael Canagasabey serves as the Operations Manager at RHPC and has been on staff since 2018. He comes from an Engineering background specializing in Refrigeration and Building Operations. Before joining the RHPC staff, Michael worked as a Plant Manager in the manufacturing industry. Michael is husband to Shanthi, proud father of three and grandfather of four.
​
At RHPC, Michael cares for the building and all facility systems—including mechanical, electrical, lighting, and sound. He also supports the worship, technical, and usher teams in their ministries. What he loves most is serving alongside an amazing staff and seeing joy in the church family he serves. Michael’s heart is to create a space where people feel comfortable and joyful as they worship God. Outside of church, he enjoys family time, watching the news, and documentaries. Fun fact: he is absolutely terrified of spiders.
