About William and Renee Sloos
Pastor Will is originally from Bowmanville and received a B.Th. from Master’s College and Seminary in 1995. Over his 21 years of ministry, he has pastored in Barrie, Acton, and Exeter and has led mission teams to Mexico and northern Ontario. In 1998, he served as guest instructor of Biblical Studies in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. In 2010, he completed his M.T.S. in Pentecostal Studies at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto. He has studied Reformation History in Germany and conducted historical research in London, Rome, and Los Angeles. His published works include the origins of the Pentecostal movement in Toronto and the Healing Movements of the Early Twentieth Century.
In 2009, Pastor Will came to Richmond Hill Pentecostal Church to serve as Lead Pastor of this thriving multicultural assembly in the heart of north Toronto. Since then, RHPC has experienced significant growth and community influence. In addition to new pastoral staff and family discipleship programs, a second Sunday morning service was added in 2015 to accommodate the increase.
As well as pastoring, Pastor Will also serves as Pentecostal History Instructor at Master’s College and Seminary, on the Theological Study Commission for the PAOC, and on the District Executive for the Southeast Region of the Western Ontario District.
Renee is originally from Montreal and speaks French and German. She earned a B.Sc. from Trent University and a Masters in Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University. Over the past decade, she has worked in the field of children’s mental health, most recently as a clinical supervisor at Peel Children’s Centre in Mississauga. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Health Services at the University of Toronto and enjoys working with the families of RHPC. Will and Renee have been married since 1996 and reside in the community of Oak Ridges.
