You Belong Here

Our Vision

We are a growing and vibrant multicultural, multigenerational, and metropolitan Pentecostal church in the heart of north Toronto. Serving over 500 people from over 50 nations around the globe, RHPC is an exciting church for your entire family! Founded in 1978, RHPC is rapidly growing and expanding its ministry footprint in York Region, drawing people from Markham, Thornhill, Vaughan, Maple, Newmarket, Aurora, and Oak Ridges. We invite you to join us every Sunday for worship, preaching of God’s Word, prayer, and fellowship and much more! You belong here. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!

Our Beliefs

  • We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the divinely inbreathed, infallible, inerrant and authoritative Word of God
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in the Persons of the Holy Trinity
  • We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, His deity, His sinless humanity and perfect life, the eternal all-sufficiency of His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father’s right hand, and His personal coming again at His second advent
  • We believe that justification is a judicial act of God on the believer’s behalf solely on the merits of Christ, and that regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation
  • We believe in holy living, the present day reality of the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the Lord’s supernatural healing of the human body
  • We believe in Christ’s Lordship of the Church, the observance of the ordinances of Christian baptism by immersion for believers, and the Lord’s Supper.

What To Expect

No matter who you are or where you’ve been, you’re welcome here.

Visiting a church for the first time can be a little daunting. Where do I go? Where do my kids go? Is it safe? What will the music be like? What is the teaching like? What will people be wearing? These are all valid questions to ask when looking for a new church.
Here is a brief run-down of what to expect at Richmond Hill Pentecostal Church.

Where Do I Park?

We have designated parking available for our first time visitors however our lot does fill up quickly. Additional parking is available next door at Hillcrest Mall. Please be mindful to keep all fire routes clear.

What Should I Wear?

Just be yourself! We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing. Some people dress casually, some dress culturally and others prefer to put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too! We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.

Where Do My Children Go?

For parents with young children, our fully staffed nursery and toddler program is available in the lower level at the beginning of the service. Our Kids Church program (for all kids from kindergarten to grade six) enjoys their own exciting programs also in the lower level. All our volunteer ministry teams meet or exceed all our requirements in our Plan to Protect Program for the safety and welfare of all our children!

What Are The Services Like?

During our praise and worship portion of the service, we express our heart to God in a variety of ways. Some people sing, raise their hands, dance, and rejoice in the presence of God. Since we also believe in the active moving of the Holy Spirit in our church, you may also experience a message in tongues, interpretation, or prophecy according to the gifts of the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12 and 14.

We also have times in the service where people are invited to the front to pray for healing, deliverance, or salvation. Following our praise and worship portion of the service, Pastor William Sloos shares a message from the Bible. In a relevant, contemporary manner sermons encourage everyone to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Often using humour, stories, and illustrations, messages clearly proclaim the Word of God. Sermons conclude with a time of worshipful reflection and response around the altar.
